Relocation guide

Yes, you can buy a North Carolina home from out of state. Here's how it works.

You can tour by live video, make offers and sign electronically, and many closings can be handled remotely depending on the closing attorney. The key is a local agent who coordinates inspections and due diligence on site.

1. Get pre-approved

A local or national lender confirms your budget and whether you need to sell first.

2. Tour live or in person

We walk homes on live video, show you the street and the drive, and point out what photos miss.

3. Offer and due diligence

North Carolina contracts typically include a due diligence period for inspections, surveys and insurance quotes. Terms are negotiated per contract; your attorney can explain your specific rights.

4. Close

North Carolina closings are handled by an attorney. Ask early about remote or mail-away signing.
